Hello guys I've been on this forum for a while now , looking for a good smoker in Puerto Rico and can't find the WSM for shit !!!!! Is there a way I could use this one http://brinkmann.net/Shop/Detail.aspx?category=Outdoor+Cooking&subcategory=Charcoal+Smokers+%26+Grills&sku=805-2101-W&id=2807???? for reals I cant find the damn thing and this is as close as to what I need let me know if this passes the test.

I wanted to order a WSM but the shipping is worse than the price to pay for one of those in the states =(

thanks

Awe man are you kidding me that kind of smoker will make you one of the best BBQ's ever. It will have your neighbors peeking through your smoker. YES!!!! That kind of smoker will work and if you know how to use it and learn how to use it for instances of putting a disposable aluminum loaf pan inside the cooking chamber 3/4 of the way with water to help the temperature stay at low and slow temp.(250-275 degrees) and humidify the cooking chamber so meat want dry out and help keep at a stable low and slow temp. Again I say that is an excellent choice of a smoker and it will do you some real fine BBQ, I have one just like that but different brand. That's the type of smoker they use in BBQ competitions. Have a good one later...

Just follow the steps in Gary's book and yes you will come to frustrations along the way but keep at it and you will master it and make good, addictive, and flavorful BBQ man. You will definitely like the pulled pork when you get to it.

The brinkman isn't bad a friend of mine has one. It seems to have a lot of leaks he has to plug, but he puts out some tasty bbq. Like briskethead said, just follows the professors intructions and you won't have too many problems.

You could always build a UDS from a 55gal barrel instructions are all over the web. Assuming you could find a decent drum it won't cost you much at all. here's a start if your interested. http://www.thepickledpig.com/forums/general-bbq-grilling/832-our-uds-cooker-how-build-one-part-1-a.html
